The image was inspired by a little cottage I saw away up near Meenaclady in North Donegal. The old farm buildings were tucked into the landscape often in the lea of a hillside for shelter. This was not far from the coast but it felt so remote along side a small road with the mountain towering behind it.
I made this lithograph entirely myself from beginning to end, from the initial idea, through painting and drawing the image on the litho stone, processing and proofing, to printing the edition.
